A sale of receivables
The factor buys the invoice. It is not a loan and does not add debt to the exporter’s balance sheet.
Sell abroad on the terms your buyers ask for, and be paid when the goods leave.
Foreign buyers expect to pay 60, 90 or more days after delivery. For a Lebanese exporter, every such sale ties up working capital that local banks no longer provide. Many companies therefore insist on cash in advance and lose the order, or accept the terms and finance the buyer out of their own pocket.
Export factoring removes that choice. A factor buys the export invoice and pays an advance as soon as the goods are shipped and the invoice is assigned. The foreign buyer pays the factor at maturity. A credit insurer covers the risk that the buyer does not pay. The exporter gets cash early, offers competitive terms, and carries neither the wait nor the buyer’s default risk.
Levant Trading Solutions is the broker that makes this work for Lebanese companies. We select and prepare each transaction, assess the exporter and the buyer, and coordinate the European factor and the credit insurer from the first enquiry to the final settlement.
The factor buys the invoice. It is not a loan and does not add debt to the exporter’s balance sheet.
The buyer’s risk of non-payment is covered by a AAA-rated European credit insurer, within the limit it approves for that buyer.
Each buyer is approved and each invoice is financed on its own merits; there is no general credit line to negotiate.
The security is the insured invoice itself, not the exporter’s property or a bank guarantee.
